Trip #1... Down!

I have to start off by saying that my son is sooo beautiful!! He is so much more than any picture could even try to capture:)

The flight there was not quite as brutal as I thought it might be. As soon as we landed, we headed to our Hotel to clean up and then went strait to the Care Center to meet him:) (I will post the video once I know that I am allowed to). When we walked in the room he was laying on the bed with his head up and he immediately make eye contact with me. I picked him up and, the weirdest part was how familiar he was to me. The moment I held him, it felt like he was always mine, I was amazed how instant the connection was. He is the happiest baby I have ever been around, he smiled all the time!
We got some amazing photos and video, I can't wait to share them all with you!

We did get to go visit the other orphanage that I told you all about, unfortunately we only got to spend an hour there. I did get to spend a good amount of that hour talking to Ashli, and learned a lot! God is doing so many miraculous things there! He has brought it so far in only a few months, but they are still in need of quite a few things.
We gave Ashli a bunch of diapers and wipes, as well as infant clothes and crib sheets. We were able to give her $600 cash, which I know will help them out a lot!

I am going to keep in contact with her so that she can let us know what they need the most and we will bring that next time.

I will wright a post a later about some of the stories that she shared with us.

Thanks for all your prayers and all your donations, they really are helping to change lives!

I have some diapers and newborn clothes that just got shipped to me a few days ago. I had wanted to send them to you for your first trip, if you plan on visiting on your next trip let me know, I'll be storing this stuff until then.

So glad you finally got to meet him and cuddle him. He is one blessed little boy to have you for a Mama
