Imitate God, therefore in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. Ephesians 5:1-2

Ok so we got rid of cable... and i am happy to say that we are surviving:) It really isn't that bad.

And I am also happy to report that reading my bible is going really well.  I am going through a guide in the back of my bible that is taking me through the story of the bible and i really like it.  I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get into the word more.

There is another subject that close to our hearts right now.  As many of you know, adoption has always been important to me, and after some prayer Casey and I are now on the same page, God has alined our hearts and has given us a passion for adopting internationally.  We have committed to praying about where God wants to take our family and how he wants us to go about the next steps.  I really want God to take the reigns on this because we cannot do it on our own. Financially alone the thousands of dollars that it costs, is just more than we can afford on our own.
I am really excited to see God work in this area and know without a doubt that it is him at work.
Oh and you may be wondering why we are thinking about this now when we just welcomed our beautiful girl into our lives, well they say it takes about two to three years from the time you start the process to welcoming your child home.
So we could use alot of prayer and if any of you have any advice on the issue I would love to hear it.

I love the idea of adoption because I was adopted myself! My mom has always told me that my birth parents were really young when they learned that they were going to be having "me" and so they started the process of putting "me" up for adoption. They were a bi-racial couple and my parents that I have now were also a bi-racial couple so the agency put them together. My mom told me one time that she thought it was going to be a different type of love since she did not actually give birth to me, but all that went away the first time she saw me. She new from the first minute that God put me into her life for a reason. So I love the idea of adoption and I think that I might do it as well.

We also have a passion for international adoption, and we've decided to take the plunge! I have just finished filling out the paperwork for our preapplicaiton....we'll see what God does. We are going to use All God's Children, a local Christian agency in Portland. We are so so excited. God will definitely need to show up for the finances to pull it off, but we are so stoked! Like you said, there will be no question where the credit will be do, He has to show up or it won't happen! We want to meet with Kainu about starting an adoption fund at Summit View, to help out fam's who want to adopt but dont' have the $. We'll see what happens! Eryn K.
